I found a link to the Hucknall Torkard parish records, which is a transcription of the handwritten registers, which can be viewed on film at the LDS Family History Library. I made an Excel file, with all of the Buck names in the register. The register begins in 1728 and ends in 1851.
The first four Buck surname entries are for the baptism of children of Francis Buck. The first is a son named John, born to Francis & Anne in 1732. The next three sons of Francis Buck to be... baptized, William, Thomas & Oliver, are with his wife Theodosia. (William 1739, Thomas 1743 & Oliver 1747).

Other entries in the register show burials for Anne Buck in 1732, and Theodosia Buck in 1752.
You will note what does not happen in the Hucknall Torkard parish records. Charles Buck is not listed as a son of Francis Buck. In fact, Francis Buck's wife, Theodosia, dies in 1752, before Charles Buck can be born.
Consider that for a while.....
